SEPTEMBER 14, 1945 - AUGUST 24, 2011

Ronald Jerome Pierskalla age 65 of Annandale, MN died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, August 24, 2011.

Ron was born on September 14, 1945 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Felix and Luella (Lewin) Pierskalla. He grew up in Hopkins, MN where he graduated from Hopkins High School in 1964.

On June 6, 1964 he was united in marriage to Nancy Aeikens at Maynard, MN. Two children were born to this union. They lived in Hopkins until 1977 when they moved to rural Annandale, MN. This has been their home since that time. While in Hopkins he was a volunteer firefighter and worked for Deveau Bus Company as a driver and mechanic. After moving to Annandale he worked for M & L Bus Company as a mechanic and bus driver and started his own trucking company in 1985. He did this until he retired in September 2010.

Ron enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, bowling and of course spending winters in Tucson, AZ.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Nancy of Annandale, MN, one son Terry (Jodi) Pierskalla of Maynard, MN, one daughter, Julie Lantto and special friend Rick Freitag of Annandale, MN, 3 grandchildren Amanda Plamann, Andrew Plamann and Lauryn Lantto and 5 great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Hailey Kenney, Allana, Aleah and Andrew Plamann, Jr. all of Annandale, three sisters, Sharon (Richard) Carlson of Plymouth, Judy (Adrian) Skorheim of St. Louis Park, and Linda (Alan) Quaal of St. Louis Park, several aunts and uncles other relatives and many friends.
