Open Mic Hour: It is our hope that we can dedicate an hour or more to past alumni talent. Our initial thought was a "battle of the bands" idea which did not take off. We know some of you may need a good arm twisting, but please let us know if you are interested in performing in that hour. Thank you.

So, I've been asked to post something on here to hopefully get some "chatter" going! Hmmmm....what to post?

Anyone come to the Outer Banks (OBX) on vacation? I live here and have for the past 7 (almost) years and had previously been coming here on vacation all through my high school years and after! It's a beautiful place to vacation and even better place to live, mostly in the summer of course!! Getting to go to the "beach" anytime I want is awesome!

Ok, so that's all I've got for now. Hopefully this will get y'all going and if not, oh well!!

xoxo Jen Jack (aka Jenny...bleh)

Hey, Jen, just saw your post. Glad you're coming to the reunion. Looking forward to seeing you. When's the last time you were here? Maybe we could go get some Old Milwaukee beer and head up the Harris Hill lookout! LOL

Yes, the outer banks and south in North Carolina are definitely beautiful, as my family has vacationed numerous summers in Emerald Isle, NC. I can't imagine living there. How beautiful that would be, though I imagine a bit like a ghost town in the non-summer months. Well, enjoy.

Oh, and Harris Hill . . . Many, many stories up there:).

I left with the intention of never coming back. Little did I know I was in for a shock. Born and raised kind of gets ingrained and then you find yourself back to the familiar old stomping grounds. I've left 4 times only to come back. It must be the Irishman in me. Many of you haven't seen me in years others I bump into. We've all grown up and it's been far too many years. Some of us left, others stayed, many of us still come to what we call home. 39th safest City is next to us, Elmira, shocked me too. I've been looking forward to this for a long time.
See you in July! :-)

I would just like to say "Thank You!" to the folks working so hard to put this reunion together! It's no small feat and I'm sure there are moments when you wonder if it's worth all the work. If you haven't felt that way yet I'm sure you will closer to the date! Keep it up! Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Nancy, I have addresses for a couple missing classmates, they do not have emails or internet so i was wondering if mailings were gonna go out to people. Also how would they pay if they dont have internet and cannot get on the site? Let me know so I can let them know. Thanks

Just wanted to echo a "thank you" to the reunion committee for working so hard to pull this together.  Looking forward to seeing you all again.  I missed the last reunion because I was in the process of moving back to New York at the time!  Hope to see you all there!

Thanks again!

It won't be long now...I am really looking forward to coming back and seeing so many familiar faces...Perhaps a lil taste of Pudgies might be in order as well.

The Open mic hour sounds FUN...I hope there are quite a few interested in performing...We had a few really great talents back in the day!

I too would like to thank those of you working so hard behind the scenes to make this Decades Reunion possible.  Just the thought of being able to get together with other classes and friends who were in another grade is so exciting!  It has been so long.  Thank you for inviting the entire Decade...Many of my friends were a couple of years ahead of me, so I am eager to meet up with many of them.  I can't imagine a Class NOT wanting to participate...Glad you are still leaving the invitaion open for everyone!

Thank you all for the positive thoughts!  Two more weeks!  Check the user forums for other class-specific info for Fri. night!

Tammy Dove Post:  Just read your question.  We addressed mailings to individuals we couldn't find via facebook, etc and did it the old fashioned way.  I'm sure we couldn't find everyone.  If you have contact with these folks, please have them get in touch with me to get RSVP'd!!!

Thank you to all who put in the hard work to pull this event together!  Without your efforts, this event could not have taken place.  I had a great time seeing classmates of mine as well as those who graduated before and after.  The food was great, the weather was perfect, and the event was amazing.

Thanks  again,

Class of 1985

The decade reunion was a great idea and was a great time.  I'm hoping many will post pictures on Facebook and maybe here.  I'm also hoping we can do this again!  Thanks to all that made this huge undertaking such a success!

Thanks to everyone who made the effort to return to this special gathering of friends, siblings, teachers and classmates.  It was a warm summer's evening filled with plenty of smiles, hugs, drinks, fun and games.  Over and over the committee  heard from you that it was a great party and not just the "usual" reunion.  We appreciate you using your valuable time and resources  to come from near and far.  It has been a pleasure and a priviledge to be a part of such a special event. Thanks to all of you who came and those who volunteered their time to help us, "your committee" pull it off.
