Hello fellow classmates.    I hope this email finds you all looking forward to spending the holidays with family and ringing in the New Year with a toast for peace, health and happiness.  As you do, I hope many of you are looking forward to our reunion in July.

One of our resources for finding classmates was the HHS District Alumni website.  While not many of us are on there, I have to say, our class had the most members per class.  I think that says a lot about us having one of the most cohesive classes in the 80s decade.   I also think we're going to have the highest turnout but I must say, 85 is coming on pretty strong too.  So come on and get registered and hit that "YES" to attending button.

One of the reasons for doing a decade reunion was because as we get older, we befriend people in our adult lives that may have graduated in different classes (for us locals anyway).  In addition, there are many alumni who have brothers and sisters that graduated throughout the 80s and thought it would be fun to plan a family reunion around this weekend too.  There were many great neighborhoods throughout Big Flats and Horseheads that had different graduate years in it and those folks might be more likely to come back as well if they know they're going to see some old neighborhood friends, reflect on the times of our youth, kick the can, ding-dong ditch (No, I never would) sneaking our first beer (not that either).

There are going to be chairpeople for each class.  The chairpeople for each class then can decide if they want to do a separate class-specific party on Fri and/or Sun.  So there may be possibly two events to attend if the chairpeople want to do a little more work.

Anyway, I just thought there were a ton of good reasons to do a joint reunion and I hope you all agree.  We've got a great committee working on this and Leslie Baker Petty and K.C. Buckley Stermer are working on our class.  If there's any interest in a Fri Nite Class of '84 Only gathering, please let us know.

Fondly,

Nancy Hartigan-Swartz
