moved in 1980 to new jersey and finished up there. came back for the junior prom. went to duke university(81-85) and played baseball and majored in biomedical engineering with an emphasis in brain imaging. then went to new jersey medical school(85-89) in newark new jersey. then went to psychiatry residency(89-93) at UC-Irvine in southern california. moved to Doylestown, PA in 93-present.
met my wife martine at a mardi gras party in neworleans and married in 1991 - 3 daughters since that are great.
i have practiced psychiatry, mainly adolescent and addictions for 20 years. in 2004, i started a nonprofit ministry to help people understand and find good counseling and addiction care and we develop workshops and curriculum to help people function better and enjoy life. we really look at all 3 spheres spirit, mind, and body in a very unique way. i have spoken at many national conferences as well as pastor conferences in kenya and uganda, and led the first mental health team into Iraq in 2007.
leaving horseheads had a profound effect on me as i progressively developed an alcohol addiction which cost me many things and led to much turmoil and chaos culminating in an arrest and jail for 6 counts of aggravated assault in 1987. have been in recovery since 1993 and God has profoundly transformed my life. most of what i do now is a reflection of that. i get to be involved in some very cool and often lifesaving activities in peoples lives as they struggle with addictions and depression.

School Story:

most memories around sports, basketball, baseball, and football. lots of jr high west memories.
