Deborah Jo Husband South was born in Mississippi on March 23, 1950. She was raised in York, Alabama and later moved with her family to Houston, Texas. She was the only daughter of Howard Lewis and Bobbie Jean Doggett Husband. Debbie grew up with her brothers at 3121 Lakewood Drive in far Northside Houston, Texas near the 'Eastex Freeway/I 59 North)'... William Howard AKA BILLY Husband and David Scott Husband who along with her parents preceded her in death. Debbie grew up attending Scarborough Elementary, Fonville Junior High and graduated with the 1968 Class of Sam Houston High School in far Northside Houston... Her husband, Lacey South and her son, Michael Husband also preceded Debbie Jo in death.
Debbie Jo was a hardworking woman who loved to joke and tease. A smile came easily to her face. Constantly in motion, Debbie Jo loved to please her guests with food and showered gifts on all her loved ones on Christmas, birthdays, and any day in between. To call Debbie Jo a dog lover would be an understatement. She took four legged creatures under her care like a mother cares for her young. This seems to be a family trait somehow passed amongst the Husband family. Before retiring, Debbie Jo worked with troubled young people in the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center. Her caring heart was evident in her day-to-day activities with each child. Debbie Jo loved to garden and make home improvements. She would rather beautify her surroundings before she ever thought about spending money on herself. A loving and giving woman, Debbie Jo brought a light-hearted spirit to friends and family alike.
Her surviving relatives will miss her. They include: niece, April Husband Stone; nephews, Travis and Stewart Husband; great-nieces, Bryanna Stone and Sophie Husband; great-nephews, Seth and Chance Husband; and sisters-in-law, Georgia Brashier and Deborah Lynn Husband....
(NOTE: Debbie's findagrave has pictures)

Debbie married my across the street neighbor Lacy South, Trenton St., Pinewood Village. She lived up Foy lane from me and we were in girl scouts together. She lived across from Lana Davis Graves. All of us the class of 1968. I did not realize she and her entire family are gone. My sister Shirley, always the historian, found this obit. You were a good friend Debbie and will be missed.

Dear Tigers,

This Christmas season is different from any other we have ever experienced and brings us closer to the end of a year unlike any other. Throughout this season, and as we move into 2021, I wish you moments of peace amid the difficulties, connections with family and friends even if they can’t be in person, the warmth of memories from holidays past, wonderful glimpses of the joy that still lives under the surface, and hope for the future God has planned for us.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all. May we spend this coming year with family and friends. Making more precious memories. May the memories of Christmas past bring a smile to our face.

HI CHARLOTTE. Answer to your question about how I  am doing. I am doing OK for a 77 year old man. NO VIRUS. My wife and son and my (2) grandsons are fine. Thanks for asking. I hope you and your family are doing well. HAVE A VERY VERY HAPPY NEW (2021) YEAR.

I am quite interested in reading this, but your links don't work. I have searched Wikileaks.org and found nothing new dumped. Most articles are pre-2017.  I did a Google search as well. Can you provide the source for the dump info please?

RE #4729. Seriously, what would you expect to find? Of course, the links don't work. Of course, there is no record anywhere of any such email dump. Of course, some people are still chasing Hillary Clinton's ghosts while the would-be president is actively killing people with his administration's inept response to COVID-19. Anything to distract, right? Governing from the golf course just makes it easier for him to commit malfeasance. Good luck with your quest for the Holy Grail of "evidence" against all those criminal Democrats.

Also included are Putin's files, and blackmail videos, on Trump, how much money he has fleeced the American people for, and the flight plan he had filed going to Russia on January 20.

Charles, Dennis, and Peter -

You are exactly correct. I knew this was BS, but was approaching the subject delicately as I have garnered the ire of others on this website in the past. Although I do understand some things about the current political clime, I will never in my life understand how good people allow themselves to be hoodwinked and used. My first thought when I read this, though, is that it has no place on the SHHS page.

I thought this site is for reminiscening, getting in touch with fellow tigers, not political opinions no matter what party.  Disappointing to say the least......

I totally agree that this site should be for SHHS related material. I have always kept any posts on that subject. I confess, I could not let what I responded to pass. I, too, find it sad that folks let themselves be led in such a manner. Hopefully, this to shall pass.

Please don't discuss politics on our site. I don't like to censor what y'all are saying but we have been through this repeatedly and the majority of classmates are here to talk about our younger selves. Have fun and enjoy the site.

I still have the oxblue ap the was used to keep us up to date on the progress of the new school. It's last picture was at 1:36 pm on January 3, 2020  and marked  completed.  It is a picture of the new football, softball and baseball fields. I remember thinking, I hope the grass has time to set up before they start using them.

Little could i know all that would happen over the last year. Hopefully 2021 will be a better year.
