I don't remember much on this topic, but I would like to locate the girl that had the Yellow Volkswagon that took me to my job at Airline Cleaners, after school. I'm sorry to say that I don't even remember her name. My grad yr. is 69 and I think hers would have been 70. I'm not sure how we became friends or how it worked out that she was kind enough to get me to work after school. I did not have a car during high school and this was a very big help to my family. If you are that girl, and may be reading this, I want to let you know how much I appreciated this. I've thought about her many times since '69.

This may sound weird but a girl named Denise Woodyard '69 had a yellow convertible that she bought in '69. Just a thought. You might check with her.

Catherine, I just looked at Denise's profile and she's not her. I do remember that the Volkswagon girl that I'm wondering about is blonde and sort of tall. (maybe 5'6"" - 5'7") I appreciate your respose, though.

Catherine, I totally agree with you regarding Sam Students turned out PRETTY GOOD!! I am looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones at the reunion. I was very shy in school and didn't talk much to people that I didn't really know. Now, people can't SHUT ME UP!!! Ha! Thanks again for your messages.

jan mcclain71 had a carmen gia but i don't remember what color it was.  she had really long blonde hair. 

Thanks Connie, but this was a regular VW Bug. It had to be a year model that was already being sold, as it was 1969 when I got the rides to my after school job. And I think the blonde hair was around shoulder length, maybe a little longer.

   You might try looking at years books before and after your grad class.  Maybe you would recognize a face or a name.  Ofcourse if she had her photo taken.   I hope you remember or someone posts who will remember her.

I did look in the year book and I have all 3 from Sam. No luck.....Either she didn't take a pic or I just didn't recgonize her. Hope she gets on the wonderful site and reads these posts.

I believe Diane Phfeiffer (sp) had a yellow volkswagon and she is tall with blonde hair.

May have been her.
