Connie , you had a dance ticket on your "Blast from the past " site , the band playing was C. L. and the Pictures . What was C.L.'s last name ??? Oh yeah, tell Bobby and Johnny and the old Pinewood and Greenwood Village gang hello . Jarrell Beard

Connie the answer was Weldon . C.L. Weldon & the pictures . Let's see if anyone remembers these local and Northside groups from that era ?? Try :THE ROCKING V'S , SONNY & THE SUNLINERS , COOKIE AND THE CUPCAKES , DON LACY AND THE DOWNBEATS , LITTLE RITCHIE MORELAND , DANNY ANGEL or how about B. J. THOMAS AND THE CAVALIERS ????? All in the 60's !!!

i had a crush on the singer in the carousels but now no one has even heard of them. have you?

Yes, his real name was Richard Westmoreland , he passed away not long ago . It seemed like everyone lived at the Mon Chateau on Laura Koppee or at the D' Orleans on Tidwell . Don Lacy lived in Geenwood Village growing up . FYI : I met your son when Bobby came to my house one time for a job years ago .
Edwin had a big brother , wasn't his name Lawson ??? I can tell you a few Edwin Wooten stories , God Bless him !!! I grew up across the bayou from all them guys you are associated with nowadays , we had BB gun wars on Halls Bayou until my brother started using a 22 rifle one day. They ran for cover after only one shot . No more wars !!! Also I know I am off subjesct , but I saw where one of your children was married to one of Augie Carlilse's kids , how can I find him ???. I knew him well and knew Jay and they had a little brother , i forget his name ?? They lived near my friends Dennis Eberly and Philip Edmonds at Dodson Lake . Jarrell |

i have a grandson named bobby. he is 18 so maybe you are talking about my son ronnie who is edwins? he is 43........................ oh my the years pass by, and hey, i bet i have a few more edwin stories than you do!!!!! haha and yes edwin does have 2 brothers. lawson and kenneth. augie is a retired RR man and lives off mt houston going east. one of his bro's owns a used car lot on eastex and has for years. i saw augie not long ago at bobbys graduation. i can get his phone number for you from one of the boys. we share 2 grandsons.
