I started babysitting when I was 11 and I remember me and Mary George used to clean my brothers house. I must have been 10 or 11 then. Can't remember how much I made, but it wasn't much. My first real job was at Sears on Shephard, minimum wage, whatever that was in 1971.

Name something you dearly love. and why?

I love the Lord with all my heart, he is always there for me. I love my husband and children and grandchildren. To tell you the truth I love everybody because of God living in my heart. The Bible says even to love your enemies and with the power of the Holy Spirit I can do that. I pray all Christians can get ahold of this and turn our nation around. Jesus said you shall know my disciples by their love for one another!! Love ya'll.

Any words of wisdom?

If you haven't made Jesus your Lord and Savior you need to do that today. I go see Shut-ins and people in the nursing home all the time, because they are at the end of their life and that is what God has called me to do. I pray if you don't know why you're here on this earth, God will show you when you accept His Son Jesus Christ.

Is there a moment in your life that stands out? A moment that defines who you are? Other than kids being born or your wedding day.

Yes, back in 1981 I was walking across the kitchen when I realized I was reading my Bible everyday and getting up early in the morning to spend time to talk to Jesus. I believe at that time I went from darkness to light because I realized I had so much love, joy, and peace. I was such a nervous wreck and I was so unhappy before I started spending time with Jesus. I can't explain the excitement and the happiness I had to know that God loved me and cared about me and had a special plan for me. That was the greatest day of my life!!
