Famous or interesting people you've met?
Back in 1971 I was at the Atlanta airport waiting to go on leave from the Army. I was buying some cigarrettes and this young teenager standing next to me was buying some candy. I hear someone behind me say "Hey Michael". Since that was my name I turned around to see who was calling me. To my surprise I see four young
men with big afros staring at me. It was four members of the "Jackson Five". And as it turned out when I heard them say "Hey Michael" they weren't talking to me, They were talking to their brother, Michael Jackson, who was the kid standing next to me buying candy! Before I realized what was going the "groupies" and autogragh hounds moved in and kind of pushed this old soldier to the side. I never did get any autogragh but when he died a couple of months ago , it brought back the memory!
