Comments:

I was married my Senior year to Lee Powell no, I was not pregnant - it was kind of a scandal as married students were not allowed to talk about their married lives at school or participate in UIL and I had to fight with the Administration to get my married name put on my graduation diploma. My husband and I moved to Red Oak in 1968 after graduation and then to Latexo in 1969. In 1972 we moved to Calallen and then to Banquete. From Banquete, we move to Elm Mott and then to Gholson where we bought our first brand new home. In 1984, we moved to Follett in the Panhandle, then to Hutto in 1985. I divorced Lee in 1991 and married John Thornton (kept my previous name because of the kids) Then moved to Round Rock and then moved to Liberty Hill in 1999.
Finally settled in Cedar Park in 2005 and still there today. I have had many different jobs. I worked for the TX Natural Resources Commission the Office of Hearings Examiners for 6 years and then for the Legal Division for the latter 6 years - 12yrs in all. Then I took a job with Texas Relay (hearing impaired) and was there 3 yrs and then took a job with State Farm Ins in 1997 and have been there ever since...love it....

John and I were remarried on July 17, 2010 by Elvis in Las Vegas (what a blast!) and I changed my last name to Thornton. My daughter Jennifer and her family took me to Disney World in Florida for my birthday! I had soooo much fun with her and the grandchildren and of course Mickey Mouse!! This year has been the best of all and am looking forward to many many more!
