Totally embarrassed when shop students would call out their window to me - "hey Grasshopper!" when I was in my Sr. English Lit class which was in a temporary building. Boy - was my face red! Who WERE you???

Considered being an Airline Stewardess. Started to move to DC and live with brother and sister-in-law and work in the government (feeling very patriotic - but, I was really ignorant about the govt). Got afraid to leave home and found an office job instead. But, dreamed about getting married sometime and having 4 children. Isn't that what most girls did then??

Spend time with grandchildren and in their activities. Talking with friends. Reading the Bible,the daily newspaper, and books. Enjoy being involved with the church and its activities.
Working leaves little time for hobbies, etc. Hope to get into genealogy when I am able to retire - about 3 years from now???

The Lord Jesus, the Heavenly Father and His beautiful creation - the earth, and my wonderful grandchildren. I love this house, even though it is old and needs repairs, and the land it is on because it has been in my family for over 150 years. My grandfather built this house with the help of his brothers and family in 1924 and added to it in 1955. Many generations have lived here, and we have shared many happy times here.

Moved to Lufkin in 1962 after married and first child born. Both our roots were in this area. Was a grandmother in 1980. Divorced in 1981. Worked at a Savings and Loan for over 20 years. Lost job and went to AC - got AAS in 1997 (age 55) - but, took care of my mom through summer of 2002. Went to work at AC in 2003. Been involved with my family, friends, church family, and work most of these years. Did get to travel some - to PA via all the states in between; CA; WA and OR; Branson; two trips to Germany and surrounding countries; and a few places in TX
