Okay I'm full of ideas. What about doing an a prom night???
That would be so such a blast. Just for fun. It doesn't have to be everyone. Just a group of us getting dressed up going out to dinner and dancing. We could have a prom King and Queen.
What do you guys think???

Ok...on the slumber thing...heck we will have 2 a year now..one at Jenny's and one at Brenda's!
LOL

Now for the TP story that has remained quite for 24 years....except for those close to me, it has been a secret that some have wondered about.
Some of you may have heard of this, and some may not.

There were a rash of wrappings in the four years we were there. My freshman year I started the baddest gang on the Nawfside..."The Masked Wrappers"
We even had a wrap song/cheer we chanted before each outing. We hit soooo many people and were caught once by Mike Mayad (that was a just for fun TP beacause he always wanted one, and one 'WRAPPER" overheard him wishing they'd get him) We wore masks that I purchased at a little chinese convenience store on our first outing. They looked like those dragon masks but with neon colors...we always wore black and had a get-a-way driver that ran over my foot and broke a bone...anyone remember me on crutches for a little while, and not know ing why? Well that was why...we always hit mean people's houses 1st, but we got a few nice people too for fun...We would take things from peoples yard in the hood and put them in the targets yard...plants, etc...nothing destructive..just funny. One of the best was when we collected all the signs you see at intersections staked into the ground for garage sales, voting signs, campaign signs, house for sale signs...you ge the pic. We had over a hundred in one yard. One house we put all lawn ornaments. One house we pink flamingo'd... We were professional, stealth and having a freaking blast. It contained a few characters from high school that you may not suspect being in such a thing. Of course, I was the leader. It was hella-fun and it went on all 4 years. What was even better was hearing people talk about it, knowing we did it and it remained one of the greates mysteries ever. I wanted to get all of them together for a reunion party and "unmask" ourselves...we still laugh about it today when shared with each other or others we tell.
Our rap/cheer was awesome...we even had beeper codes when beepers came out late our senior year.

Anyhow..that's my secret tp story. It's one of my greatest organized parties EVER! Hmmm I think that's where getting people together comes from...I love to have fun. I love to laugh so hard it hurts. It was so much fun, even when I suffered a broken bone in my foot.
Awesome memories.
A friend I am friends with today caught us in full mask and clothes one night off rittenhouse with her boyfriend. He had a huge spotlight on his truck and as 3 of us were creeping across the street, they came out of nowhere and hit the light on us...We hid behind a car. I was last to make it and she recognized me for some odd reason...don't know how...she hollered out...Deana is that you?
God that was so funny. We were casual friends then, and she kept our lil secret, and I think we made her an honorary member at one point...we had to bring her in to buy her silence...lol...just kidding. She was too much into her man at the time, but she is one of my closest friends now.

So there it is....we've 'ACCESSED" northline pool via my metal cutters on the metal wire fence...been busted by the cops there and ratted out by the boys we hung out with...oh man...i could really go on and on and on...I loved my high school experience. Although I was terribly insecure, I made the best of it by just putting myself out there. It payed off because I had a blast.

I didn't go to prom so I always feel like I missed out on that part of high school...I had one of those dumb a** moments where I thought I was an "adult" and got married and quit school:( So I missed all the good stuff. But I did by the cutest little black dress last week for Mike's company Christmas party and all i could think about when I was looking in the mirror was the young ladies remarks in the movie What Women Want, when her dad takes her to get her prom dress and she finds "the one" I know I'ma dork but I don't care...I have found my perfect dress:) So maybe we do need a prom:)

No problem. I want to lose a few pounds and buy a fabulous dress. My prom sucked so I could use another. Dave didn't get to go to his. How great would it be. Just a group of us who don't live too far away...
Sorry V. You know I would love to have ya but you would be with us in spirit. We could post some awesome prom pics for our new prom on the prom page. Then and Now.

I remember doing several things in HS, but I think I missed out on some of the more fun stuff you do in your Junior and Senior years. My junior year I was dating ronnie and of course spent every waken moment with him (that was such a stupid thing and the reason I insist that my girls still have the time with their girl friends) my senior year I was married. I love the things I did in HS, but sometimes wish I would have experienced more.

OMG,Everybody!I miss a couple of days on here and it takes me two hours to catch up! I missed out on alot!
Kevin is still down and have been taking him to the Chiropractor everyday this week and still am the nurse.I'm hoping he'll be up and around soon.
Yall are all quite amazing! My fellow Tigers!
I believe in giving back and sharing also.
I'm always giving or donating my time to our community or to my daughters' school.I've been involved in clothing and food drives for our school. One was for Hurricane Katrina.-Another mother and I put together stockings stuffed with goodies for a military troop, also. My daughter's 1st grade class collected for one of their classmate's older brother's troop (and Vicki is right it can get quite expensive.)
I also get involved with the Watermelon Festival and Christmas parade festival when I can.I've organized the Car shows for both Fests. the past three yrs.
I'm always giving as much as I can, when I can! I mainly donate all I can at the school though! I believe you need to plant a seed into the minds of our future leaders!
I am so proud of our class of 89!Yall have some great ideas and would love to donate also.I will ask Taye about being Santa, also. If he doesn't have to work that night,I'm sure he'll do it!

Someone is seriously gonna have to get this woman a crown....you realize Deana that at the next gathering there will probably be a million crowns sitting on your table....

Well back outside...John and I just finished mowing the yard...it was his first time on the rider...I think he enjoyed the ride:) Now it's off to play on the swing set. Bailey is with my sister today so John has had me all to himself:) He'll probably be wired the rest of the day, I gave him some Dr.Pepper in a sippy cup...I swear he loves the stuff....I know terrible to do that but every once in a while won't kill him! I wish you all could see how excited he is...he loves soda:)

Rebecca Atchison (Welch)

Hi Sheryl!!! Yes we have all been very busy. I think I will talk to Col. Mc Intyre at my son's school and see if he has any connections to get our troop stuff sent over for free or at a discounted cost. It's worth a shot.

I have been trying to catch up on all the posts, but there are too many. Glad to see everyone is still alive and kicking, and glad to see we have a date set for the Reunion Weekend. Thanks for all the hard work. I wish there was something I could do to help.

I am going to use this time to go off. I don't know if anyone of y'all have heard but sharpston has been in the news alot lately. Our new assistant principal was arrested for growing drugs in a apartment he had been evicted from 2 months prior. How that is legal I don't know. Just because he is the last known resident does not mean he is guilty. Now One of my teacher friends was recently arrest for falsifying govenment doc. She is the women who calibrates the breatilizer machine for Hpd. Well they claim she did it wrong and then tried to cover it up. I personally do not believe this. I really think it was not on purpose. She is the sweetest lady I have ever meet. She loves the kids and actually teachs. She is one of the best teachers I have ever met. But what really P.o. me is how quick people are to crucify anyone charge with a crime. Neither one of these people have been convicted yet and people who do not even know them have already assumed they are guilty. What is happening with our justice system?
