I have had very little response (except for my lil crew here) for volunteering and donations for a park day. I am thinking I will just make it a pot luck as we did with our parties at Big Texas. Just tell everyone to bring their park gear-chairs, games, etc and submit what you will be bringing to share with your fellow tigers...what do yall think? I just can't get any organization from anyone to help with a larger scale thing that involves cooking, etc. Maybe we will do hamburgers/hotdogs and the rest is potluck...what do you guys think? Fall in troops, I need you!!!! Let's decide on a park. I have Duessen, Brenda checking on the one in Tomball, any other suggestions?

04/27/09 03:24 PM #2009     Jonel Bishop (Lockler) Deana, You don't have to worry about a cook. Any reason to start a fire and Kevin will be there. I think if you just have people bring some pre-made patties and hot dogs that should be very simple. We did the same thing recently with a family get together. It worked out great, we all brought patties, buns, and a bag of chips or potato salad. A couple of us sliced up platters full of veggies for the burgers, and couple others brought big things of ketchup, mayo, mustard etc.

I remember when I was living in Alaska, I would get phone calls at 4,5 and 6 in the morning! I remember one phone call from our realitor who was in NC. When she called and started talking I told her hold on you have to give me a second to wake up, it's 5:45 in the morning here. She said to me, your in Arkansas right? I said no, I'm in Alaska and we are 4 hours behind NC. She offered to call back later, but at that point I was already awake...LOL.

04/28/09 11:18 PM #2021     Vicki Johnson (Patzold) B-I had the hardest time getting ahold of my sister in law though in NC. I would have to call in the middle of the afternoon to catch her. Which by the way was not always easy! Trying to remember you have to call someone at 4 in the afternoon in order to catch them as they are winding down so sucked! Even worse, staying up or getting up at 4 or 5am to get someone on the east coast at 8 or 9am. I use to use my late nights when I couldn't sleep to catch up with my friends overseas. I would talk to my friend in germany in the middle of the night, now when I call her, I call first thing in the morning when I get up.

Okay, I need to call Vickie, get out our updated volunteer list, and I need to call Brenda about park information she has. Does anyone know anyone who could play some music at the park event? We can hire a DJ, but we need donations. Thanks for all that y'all are willing to do. I couldn't do anything without your help. I appreciate all of you and love you madly!

05/05/09 11:01 PM #2026     Vicki Johnson (Patzold) Deana-How about a simplier idea. I have several CDs from the 80's era, I'm sure others do as well. Why don't we just get a CD player (would either have to have an electrical hook up or plenty of batteries). We could just set up a player everyone bring their 80's music and we call it a done deal. No extra expense of hiring anyone and everyone can contribute to the music genre. How does that sound for an idea?

Only a very few poeple have responded to Deana's request for help with OUR reunion next month. Please if you can bring something and don't wanna post it in the message forum send it to her privately on the site. If you are unable to contribute but still plan on coming...send her an email so we can plan to have enough for you and your family. We are all Tigers together and we want this to be fun for everyone but Deana alone can not foot the bill for this, but we can all pitcch in and take care of each other. And yes she has receive some great donations but without a certain headcount, it is hard to plan for. So please take a moment and post here or send Deana an email. The reunion is only gonna be as great as we make it! Not to mention Deana throws one HELL of a party so come on Tigers get busy!!!!!

I'm still not sure if I'm going to be able to make it but I wanted to help out. Deana said I could post her address for anyone that wants to do the same thing. I know I'm hosting a soccer party at my house this coming Sunday for Lauryn's Soccer team. Every little bit helps.
