1949-2021
Phillip Henry Rippenhagen, III, was born on October 5, 1949 in Houston, Texas. He was the son of Phillip Henry Rippenhagen, Jr. and Emma Dee Nash Rippenhagen.
Phil passed away from complications from lung cancer on May 21, 2021 in Sugar Land, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Lavin Rippenhagen, his daughter, Guinnevere Rippenhagen Ebbeson, his grandchildren; Steven Dakota Duty and Emily Ann Ebbeson; his brothers, Clay Rippenhagen, Myles Rippenhagen, and Timothy Eady; sisters, Heidi Rippenhagen, Julian and Pala Eady Smith; as well as numerous other family members.
Phil married the love of his life, Linda Lavin Rippenhagen, in 1987. Phil spent much of his time traveling with Linda throughout the world. His favorite past times were playing his guitar and spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs and cats. Phil was an avid reader with his favorite being SciFi novels.
Phil was very active in his community participating on the HOA Board of Directors for over 30 years, most of which he served as President. His cool and calm demeanor, as well as his strong sense of fairness, worked well for him in this role.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 4:00-8:00 pm at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 28th, at 10:00 am at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home and streamed live via the funeral home's Facebook page with a receiption to follow.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
