Tell us about your life?

I played football at Abilene Christian, joined the Navy in 1968, served in Viet Nam on a Minesweeper, went to San Diego Naval Training Center Data Processing School (also played 8-man football while there), went the the Med on an Air Craft Carrier, spent 1 1/2 years at NAS Corpus Christi.
I was married to my first wife for 27 years until she died of breast cancer in 1997. Vicki and I were actually engaged (ring and all) in 1968 and got married in 1998. Many of you are familiar with our story. We love telling it and we love living it.
I was a university professor at Memphis State University for awhile and was a school superintendent for 16 1/2 years and retired in 2002. I taught Geometry at Jacksboro High School and Vicki was the school counselor there. We drove 60 miles (one-way) everyday to get from Woodson to Jacksboro. We really enjoyed that. We are now retired. We have nine grandchildren ( 7 girls and 2 boys). Of course, they are smart, beautiful, handsome, and look just like me. We hope they will grow out of that. My mother lives in Abilene, Texas and is 97. She drives herself all over Texas and plays bridge 3 times each week. We are very fortunate and blessed, in many ways.

I thought yesterday was her birthday!  This is a real shocker!  Unbelievable!  First Class person from beginning to end!  Vicki and I will miss her.
