Traveled to Houston last week and met up with a great teacher, mentor, and friend who will never fully realize the great positive impact he had on me back in 1978. I would have never have heard of people like Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Peter Erskine, Hiram Bullock, or Tony Williams.

His name is Noe Marmolejo. It was such a great reunion. I only wish I hadn't waited 30 years to speak with him again.
