I treasure a lot of things from my past.  Just simply knowing that everyday five out of seven days a week during the school year and then some in the summers and other breaks you would all be there, it was great.  I took it for granted sometimes.  You helped me grow.  You encouraged me.  You challenged me.  Thanks.  That's the best I can do right now off the top of my head.  Life is too short.  We do need to make everyday count.  More later.

Wow, Bryan, that's a great challenge.  One of my great memories was the immense school spirit.  As a middle school teacher, it saddens me that the school I am in doesn't have that strong bond.  With Halloween just last weekend, I remember going to a Halloween party at Shari Degner's house - our senior year, I think.  Very fun!  Other great memories:  dressing up for homecoming week, "Ten Little Indians" and the other great plays, Toby's "Mad Max" outfit, Mr. Hamer chewing me out for sneezing in class, the Variety Shows, too many great memories to put down.  I'm so thankful for all the experiences.

Thinking about how I should always be kind and share with people.  (I saw "For Colored Girls" yesterday.)  Wish I had always made a conscious (sp?) effort throughout my life--especially in school.  I can just learn and strive to be better.  Feeling sentimental.  I really mean it when I say that I treasure my experiences and people like you that I grew up with.  Thinking of you with much love and consideration.  I hope you are all well.  I am blessed:)  Have a great day;)

Thanks for all who served in our country! We really take freedom for granted. If it wasn't for our men and women serving our country it would be freedoom instead of freedom.

Thanks again to our classmates and our parents and grandparents.

Already May 3, 2011 and no one else posted, does anyone else check this site like I do?  Jot a note or something.  Love to see how you’re doing and I can bet others would like that also.  I have many thing to occupy my time like work, wife, dogs, goats , chickens and steers now.  Ha Ha ei,ei O.  Never  thought  this is what I would be doing.  Drinking moonshine from Virginia also so that makes me an official Po dunker.   Still Manager of the Gas Operations at Jo Carroll Energy during the day, po dunker at night.  Have three beautiful blonde Lab brothers keeping me company.  That’s what life is about, what good dogs they are.  Found out that my emails from this site were directed to my junk file and I am not sure if I missed anyone’s email .  Sure have contemplated life since Glade passed.  Have a lot of good memories of him.  Never got to know him as an adult.  Feel  bad I have lost contact with everyone till this site.  Would like to hear from ya all. Bryan

Good to know things are going well for you. I try to check the site every couple of weeks. I sent a reply to your message to me a while back hope it didn't go to your junk mail. I am hoping to get back this summer during Hudson days to see some of the class from sixth grade when I left and a few of the class I kept in touch with through high school. Keep checking back and contact me anytime, I need to write Jerry a note and see if he will be back anytime soon.

Steve

Hi guys
I been lagging staying in touch. I'm glad you guys still check in. I was in Iowa last week to see my Mom and my niece graduated from nursing school. If any of you get the Hudson Herald, my sister fabricated a story that I was moving back to Iowa to attend chiropractor school. HaHa pay back to her!
Stay in touch probably wont make it back this year for Hudson days.

Hi, I'm still checking in periodically.  Otherwise, I'm just going to the gym and taking care of things at home.  Looking forward to seeing my family in a couple of weeks.  May go to Hudson Days.  May go to Chicago in the fall.  I hope you all are doing well.  Bring on the sun!

Glad to see so many responses and to know I am not the only one looking at this site periodically.   Steve I did get your message and glad to hear you check in on this site.  I did check my junk folder one more time and to my surprise seen a note from Linda D.  Went way back, I know what it feels like when you don’t get a response and I don’t try to do that to anyone.  Seen Jerry’s news paper mishap, in fact my mom brought it to my attention (small towns).  Jerry my first thought was “go Jerry, Shake it”.  Second thought was maybe it is getting bad with the cartel over there and you want to move your family to safer ground.  Sounds like your sister is due for a prank herself. Ha Ha, good luck with that.   Kelly V. how’s that sunshine?  They had the annual meeting in Pensacola, FL this year.  Not as nice as your town but got to enjoy some good ribs in Nashville TN on a layover, made up for it.  I think you don’t need a job, what do you think?  Take your time, none of us really know what we what to become when we get older. J  Does anyone know when Hudson Days are this year?  I would truly like to re connect with every one of you, wherever you are.  I graduated with the top of the class, this I have learned over the years.  Steve your part of the class and your tops also, love to reconnect.

The sunshine's great! Working in the yard today, reading Isaiah, and running to Wal-Mart. Started "juicing". Hudson Days was great. Ran around with my mom. I'm sorry I missed you, Rhonda, and anyone else. It was good to see all the people I did. Now, I'm thinking about being in Hudson for Homecoming Friday night and breakfast on Saturday morning. Does anyone want to join me? I think it's 9/30-10/1.

Just checking in to wish everyone a blessed Christmas.  After 15 years in special education and junior high science, my job was eliminated and now I'm teaching 6th grade.  What a crazy change that was!  I am really enjoying my class and look forward to staying in this position for many years.  My son is at UNI so my husband and I are empty-nesters.   Bob will be retiring soon, so we plan on doing lots of traveling.  The bucket list is started.  Don't be surprised if we look some of you up in our roaming of our country!  Keep in touch!

Change is inevitable. I hope everybody loved yesterday! Remember when we used to exchange paper Valentines? Make the most of today. You never know what tomorrow may bring. Wish I could sit down at Starbuck's or with a Coke and a smile and you. Maybe next year at our class reunion. Here it is almost 30 years after some of the most defining moments of my life. That's not quite the word I am looking for right now. I am just trying to say that the years we spent together helped mold me into the person I am today. It was a foundation that I've built my life on. Sure, there have been some things that I've tried to chip away and forget, but the history is there and one thing that cannot be changed. How about this mumble jumble? I'm just thinking and smiling. Thinking of you.
