David Glen Womack

Obituary from the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Website, Greenville Texas:

David Glen Womack, 72, reached his final destination, his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior on October 17th, 2014.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Doug McClure from Hugo, Oklahoma officiating.  Burial will follow at Hart Cemetery.

David was born July 11, 1942 in Weaver, Texas to Glen Alexander and Hazel A. (Hinkle) Womack.  He married Sherry Anderton on January 11, 1985 in Greenville.  David graduated from Hugo High School in Oklahoma and served his country with the U. S. Army.  He was a retired postal carrier after 45 years of service. He was a member of Dixon Baptist Church.  His family loved him and believed him to be the world’s greatest Husband, Daddy, Brother, Son and Poppa.  He loved movies, food, family and trees.  He was an avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooners. But most of all, he was a Godly man who loved his Lord and Savior and prayed that others would do the same.

David leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 30 years, Sherry Anderton Womack of Greenville; daughters Brenda Womack Nettles of Meridian, MS and Misty Womack of Greenville; sons Brandon Womack and Caleb Womack of Dallas.  He adored his seven grandchildren Tony Brady and wife Tasha of Baton Rouge, LA, Hunter Brady and Mason Nettles of Meridian, MS, Cooper, Rayhea, and Keigan Womack of Greenville, and baby Alexander Womack; sisters Jowana Womack Buttrill of Hugo, OK and Angela Womack Ruiz and husband Dwane of Friendswood; special friend Enoc Campos and many other friends and family.

David was preceded in death by his precious mother and daddy.

Pallbearers will be Shane Wells, Bobby Anderton, Terry Burden, Dwane Ruiz, Hubert Peek, Guy Bradshaw, Danny Gladden and Enoc Campos.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Brad Grimsley, Tom Johnson, Bobby Bowers, Hugh Davis and Bob Felder.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your charity of choice.

David was a good guy...have lots of memories of him. Sorry to see him go, but happy he is with God.
