After HS, went to OCC. Loved choir, theory, and Marine Science. Then went to Chapman as a piano performance major. Studied/performed with HBHS alums Vicki Litherlund and Gayle Thompson (now Geiger). Met Jenny Peck at Chapman and got married in 1986. Worked in IT and dabbled in composing, musical theatre (as a pianist and music director). Met my mentors Roy Diaz and John Wirtz through Jenny. First child, Celia, born in 1993. Did a lot of work at El Modena HS in Orange for their musicals and summer shows. After working with Maddelena, I think I know from quality, and this place had very high quality. Learned tons about music theatre education, especiall from Roy and John (Roy was cast as Judas in the 1976 summer production of Superstar, but had to leave due to his commitments to the Young Americans touring company. Interesting, amazing connection!). Colin born in 2000. Tried to live the dream of music and theatre from May 2000 to May 2001. Just couldn't make the money I needed to support the family. Back to IT thereafter. Laid off in May 2009 due to IT outsourcing. Looking for IT job again.
