School Story:
Moved to Huntington Beach from Northern Virginia my senior year of high school because my father who was in the US Coast Guard was transferred. It was a really rough transition and made for a tolerable, but not too fun senior year. I remember having to take a class independent study for half a semester because I needed half a semester of PE credit to graduate. I took PE for the first half of the fall semester and then was on the basketball team which got me my PE credit and I had to finish a class independent study because it conflicted with basketball practice! Craziness, but I made it through and then broke my foot the day before high school graduation so I missed rehearsal and the only way my parents could tell it was me crossing the stage--since I didn't know when I'd be going--was cuz I had a cast on my foot! Funny now, but miserable back then.
