Attended Brigham Young University 1962-1964, Associates degree; Worked as secretary and legal assistant at North American Rockwell (Boeing) 1964-1971; married Darryl Anderson in 1967; attended Long Beach State 1969-1971. Appeared on "Let's Make A Deal" in 1969 and won outdoor patio furniture and bar-b-que. So surprised because I had never seen the show before that day and won!! Left job and school just short of degree to start our family. Gave birth to Aaron in 1972, Adam in 1974 and Alan in 1978. Moved from Long Beach to Anaheim Hills 1975-1980. Moved to Bountiful, Utah in 1980. Graduated from University of Phoenix - Paralegal Studies. Worked as Legal Secretary and/or paralegal the past 32 years. Retired this year. I'm now enjoying time with our family and grandkids. Sadly I'm updating this history in March 2013. Darryl wasn't feeling well last summer - one of the reasons we didn't attend the 50th reunion. On 9-4-12 Darryl suffered a massive stroke; the day before his 68th birthday. He never fully recovered and died on January 21, 2013 at age 68. His obituary appeared at www.russonbrothersmortuary.com. Janalee Peterson and I have known each other and been friends for over 60 years! We met in Nursery at church at age 2. Jan lives in Utah, too. Other friends I have stayed in touch with include Lea Hengstenberg, Roscoe Moore, and Vickie Brooks. Our time at HPHS was the best years ever! Didn't we have the best music ever? We didn't know violence would become an every day occurrence beginning with JFK's assassination in 1963. Up 'til then, it was truly the best of times and high school brings back wonderful memories. Friends then and now are such a blessing in our lives.
Janalee and I have been friends for 74 years - no kidding, 74 YEARS! We met in Primary (Mormon church) when we were 2. Jan is like my other “sister.” Best Friends Forever?? Love, Sherrill Yates Anderson
