I have served the church since 1973 and currently serving as Pastor at the Mary Helen United Methodist Church in Mary Helen, Kentucky which is in Harlan County. It is the coal area and very poor. I would welcome mission teams coming in the name of Jesus to be the presence of God's love to this area. Or, just come and visit.

Grissom was so fun for me. The people were so kind and supportive. I am thankful for my time at Grissom.

Mr Reynolds was indeed tough.  He, however, was an mainstay at GHS.  Charles Campbell reminded me of the day in 1974 when the tornadoes hit.  Terry Campbell and I were at the school with others and Mr. Reynolds was insuring that all the students away on class outings returned safely.  He was tough but we were safe.
