The Scottish Rite Cathedral is decorated for Christmas, so there is no better time to tour the beautiful historic building. Here is some info from Garry Montgomery.
The Indianapolis Scottish Rite Cathedral, built 1927-1929, is a Neo-Gothic masterpiece designed by Mason George F. Schreiber, serving as the world's largest Scottish Rite Masonic building, renowned for its detailed limestone carvings, 212-foot Singing Tower with a carillon, ornate theater, and ballroom, showcasing Masonic symbolism with dimensions often divisible by 33, and functioning as both a spiritual home for Freemasons and a historic event venue, attracting over 100,000 visitors annually.
The Cathedral is located at 650 N. Meridian St, Indianapolis, Indiana. Family members are welcome to join us. $10 donation is payble at the door and parking is free.
