Mark and I married in 1991. We moved from Dallas to Monroe, LA is 1992 when Mark's employer transferred him. Mark's parents and brother and sister were already living here, so we felt at home immediately, although I will always claim to be a Texan!! I finished college here at Northeast Louisiana University and have taught various levels of English at West Monroe High School for 12 years. WMHS has a student body of approximately 2000 and is annually among the best schools academically in our state. While Louisiana as a whole is still in need of education reform, I am proud to be a part of an exemplary program with dedicated, professional educators, involved parents, and, for the most part, hard-working students. Mark now owns his own award-winning marketing and promotions firm here in Monroe. My parents pulled up their IP/WF roots and joined us here in 2002. It has been such a blessing to see them daily and have them be a regular part of our daughters' lives. We stay busy with the girls' school activities, and they are both involved in art and dance several days per week. We are members of D'Arbonne Church of Christ where Mark is a deacon. He has made several trips to Ghana, West Africa on missionary efforts. We have been so richly blessed by God!
