Here' some names I thought of: Marjorie Holloway,(teacher, James Holloway, (Counselor) Ophelia Jackson(teacher), Tiny Thomas, (teacher) Annie Ruth Davis (made uniforms for the band of Jax Beach) I can't remember the name of the Principal, I believe he was/is an official at one point here in Jacksonville. Here's a thought; if anyone knows where they all are it wouldn't hurt to recognize them all. :-D I am not sure if they are still living or not. However, its worth checking into. My Essenyce Sheila

THAT'S LIKE TRYING TO TEACH ME HOW TO SKATE AFTER 30+years. yes i do not nor have i ever learned how to skate or ride a bicyle!!!!!!!!!.AND NO WILLARD, JIMMIE AND DONNIE I DO NOT NOR AM I INTERESTED IN RECEIVING LESSONS FROM ANY OF YOU. THAT WOULD BE LIKE A SHIP WITHOUT A SAIL AND I CAN'T SWIN EITHER, WHILE WE WERE SUPPOSE TO BE TAKING SWIMMING LESSONS I SAVED MY MONEY FOR THE TWO FOR A NICKLE CIGERETTS. YES I AM STILL PITIFUL BUT LOVING EVERYDAY OF IT LOVE TO ALL

I have said it before and I want to say it again Sylvia,Willard and Barbra I think that I speak for everyone when I say that we are all greatful to you for taking the lead in putting this reunion togeather. Jax Beach 144 was the start of our educational development and it along with the special friendships we made at 144 will always be special, so in the words of Sylvia "lets make this happen".

03/29/09 11:40 PM #34     James Mathews (1970 ) (1970) Hello everyone. I am also very excited about the upcoming reunion. I am sadden to hear about Joseph Jackson. We will certainly miss him as a part of the mammoth Class of 70 contingent that will attend the reunion. He was always laughing and I can remember him being the first to get a motor cycle in the neighborhood. He will be missed. Notice I said mommoth about the Class of 70. We have not gotten started yet and we are already right up there. I expect '70 to come from behind and finish strong, well ahead of those that are currently mouthing; the Dudleys/Gambles and others. Watch out for '70.
