Due to the than Armed Services draft, in August 1972 I enlisted in the US Navy. Before enlisting I married Luretha ("Retha") Curry.
Retha and I were married for nearly 27 years. We have two children (Leonard and Lenore). My family and I traveled extensively during our naval adventure. I can not think of too places in the States that I have not been.
My children attended school at FAMU (Son) and the UF (Daughter). I been blessed with 4 grandchildren (2-boys and 2-girls).
My family current reside in Florida. Some in Miami, most are located right here in Jacksonville.
After attending Jax Beach# 144, I attended Douglas Anderson Hi for one year and afterward, as result of the integration of public schools, I graduated from Fletcher Sr. Hi. in June 1968.
After high school I attained FAMU for three years, majoring in Mathematics.
During my enlistment in the Navy I attain The George Washington University and was selected for Enlisted Commissioning Program where I attained and graduated from the University of SC (USC) with BS Electrical Engineering (Dec. 84). After USC I attained OCS in Newport, RI where I commissioned Ensign in US Navy.
I attain a variety and numerous naval service schools during my naval career.
Finally, I nearly completed graduate studies toward a MS Aeronuatical Engineering through Embry Riddle (91-95). I could not complete my Thesis due illness. Suffured a disabling stroke.
