Carol Schulze mcelhenny

For the past 30 years I have taught school in the city as well as here on LI.
I received a doctorate in religious education in 1993.
I founded a mission organization that ministers to the underprivileged in countries in Asia.

I was told by many classmates that I would be a missionary and so I have.
Was married 42 years, my husband passed this past Feb. We had 5 children.

I was sitting in study hall when I entered JHS. Mr Hamje came in and asked if anyone wanted to join the band. My friend Pat Romano and I raised our hands and we joined. We played the eflat horn for a year. Then I was moved up to the French horn and also played with Mr. Katz in the orchestra.
Loved playing concerts, we did marching band, and the school plays.
I remember a Mr Bobo that came and helped me with my french horn playing. He had played on Broadway.
Anyone from band and orchestra remember hanging out at Jahn's?
