Have lived in Manhattan ever since graduating in '62 and graduating from American University in Washington,DC-there were many of us from Jamaica HS there as well. Taught full time in Great Neck, NY for 30 plus years. Have
travelled the world, and now enjoy my part-time work at Spence. I also do volunteer work at a non-profit organization called Bottomless Closet. It assists women w/clothing, a resume, and interview skills that they need to get back to the work place. I have always loved living in the city, travelling and my summers in East Hampton. Friends and Family have always remained a priority as well. would love to connect w/fellow Jamaica High School students- we were a very large family for sure.

One December day 3 of us girls decided to cut school and go see Santa at Macy's just on a whim of course-believe it was senior year. We get to the city are waiting in line to meet Santa and who do we see shopping but a teacher from Social Studies Dept!!! She saw us as well!!! Don't know who was more embarrassed??? We never discussed the event since I was in her class!!!

loved sports and school gov't--played tennis and volleyball and basketball after school teams-ran for best athlete but lost to a much better athlete that year-for the yearbook picture!! Took all the world politics and social studies classes I could-it has remained my favorite courses to take and teach even today!!! Jamaica gave me the love and interest that lasted a lifetime
