My Father, Raymond Crevier (deceased) was a 1940 graduate of Jefferson H.S. I would like to thank him for his fine example of hard work and integrity. He was a WW II Instructor Pilot in the 8th Airforce. It was referred to as the "MIGHTY 8TH". He taught me how to fly when I was in high school. I soloed at age 16, along with a number of my other brothers and sisters. If he hadn't invested his time into me I wouldn't be where I am. I'm thankful for my Mother, Patricia Ricker Crevier (deceased) who was so diligent over the years with us Kids and so giving of herself, an invaluable investment into our family.

We are all a product of someone else's investment into us.

Even though I never had Matt Mottice for a coach, I will forever be grateful for the influence he had on our family and my older brothers, for the dedication and ethics of hard work and discipline, that he taught us how to lift weights and work out for football ,etc. The dedication that he had to Jefferson H.S. and to our family and to so many other families in the Jefferson community who benefitted from his leadership abilities and coaching. He was more than a coach - he was a friend and a man of Honor and integrity.

I recently went to his home in Plain City, Ohio and had a nice visit with him and his lovely wife, Peggy and thanked them for their dedication and efforts. May God bless them GREATLY for their dedication and investment!

Matt Mottice was the Coach that produced the greatest football team in Jefferson H.S.(in the late 1960's) history and by some accounts it was the greatest football team in the history of the state of South Dakota 8-man or 11- man football.

He is one of those people that come along and leave a legacy in your life that will last forever and you will never forget!

Joe Burkhard was a great inspiration in my life as a coach in high school and I will always be forever grateful. He was the kind of coach for whom you wanted to give 100% all the time. Mrs. Graves was a great inspiration in my life and I will be forever grateful for that. Such a diligent teacher and kind person in and out of the class room.

School Story:

Some of my most vivid memories of JHS included: Freshmen who were often thrown out in the hall from the locker room after or before football or basketball practice (wearing only undergarments).

Seniors tried to get me but never accomplished the task when I was a freshman.
I remember hanging onto a sink because of being pulled by seniors which resulted in the sink coming off the wall.

The only thing worth living for is the Legacy of JESUS CHRIST! The Legacy we leave on this earth is more powerful after we are gone than while we were here!

My hobbies include working out, walking, playing the piano and visiting nursing homes to help out the elderly and playing piano for them. Also, reading different history topics of America at Barnes and Noble and preaching the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST!
