Left McCook Lake shortly after graduation to earn money for college but as life weaves its tale, money and independance lead me down other routes. After realizing I needed to focus my life (about 6 months!!) and that $6.00/hour wasn't paying my life style, I buckled down and focused on my career. I met the women of my dreams (at least one that would put up with me!) shortly thereafter and we've moved from Montana to Wisconsin to Illinois and Indiana and for the past few years reside in Oregon City, Oregon (Gods country).
I've been blessed with good fortune in business and in life with three amazing kids and absolutely dynamite wife (known by my freinds as Saint Karen, guess it's something to do with putting up with me?) Ashley is in grad school at UC Irvine studying philosphy, her husband Matt is a film major currently working for an independent film company and has written a play that should get produced in Europe sometime soon (I know, sounds like we've become tree huggers!), Amy is completeing her senior year at Oregon State (go Beav's) looking into Vet med but plans to take a year off to work at the Oregon Zoo and other relevent internships, (she also spent a few months last summer in Romania working at an animal clinic which was an adventure!) then to Grad school, Anthony is 18, a senior at Oregon City Highschool, playing Lacrosse and getting ready for college at Oregon State. Hard to believe we'll be empty nesters already!
I miss high school and the fun we had but enjoy life even more. We are active in camping, the outdoors and fishing, carring on the Comstock tradition that my dad instilled. Hunt, golf, drink (and eat a little but drink more!) and anything else we can do to enjoy life.
I've only been back a handfull of times but it has nothing to do with Jefferson or anyone, I simple got caught up in life and time moved so quickly. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone sometime and promise to buy ya all a beer when we do!
This web-site is a great idea and kudos to those involved.
Hope everyone is doing well and the blackhawk spirit still lives!!
