ANGELA EDWARDS LARSON

After graduation I attended USD for three years, majoring in fine art. I have worked in residential facilities as a counselor and mentor, including an emergency youth shelter, domestic violence shelter, and a locked facility for criminal juvenile males. Most recently, I spent 12 years working as a correctional officer in Sioux City. My best job yet is the one I have being a mom here at home, raising our boys. Our family likes to cheer for Iowa Hawkeye Football...whether at Kinnick Stadium or at a Garage Party. Our year starts in the fall and it goes; Football Season, Christmas, Waiting for Football Season. Our boys are soon to turn 4 and 6 so we stay busy with tee ball and mediating fights over who "had the Iron Man mask first". I am not shy or as quiet as I used to be twenty years ago. Between college, a job in a jail, and motherhood...I found my vocal side.
