I agree Jon, isn't it crazy...20 years, it sounds like such a cliche but it seems like just a few years ago that we were in high school.....

And a kickball tournament at Creek fest...class of 88 needs to have a team. How many recesses(sp?, see I graduated from Creek) did we spend playing kickball. Down here Dodge ball leagues are big, are they up in Wisconsin also? We don't do them since we play racquetball but we see signs everywhere for them.

My union raises tons of cash every year for MDA. A coworker and I set up a kickball tournament fundraiser for that every year. It's a blast and it's fun to see people try to remember how the whole game works....

Hey Everyone, I think the Class of 88 has a kick ball "Captain"....Jon? :-)

Chad, I haven't heard that name in years!! How do you come up with that stuff?? -Fish

No no no Darcey. I just cook at that thing and try to help do the setup. I don't actually do the playing or the coaching.... That stuff gets too technical... Now keeping track of the temperature of hundreds of pieces of food and how hot the grills are, that is easy!!!

Hey I hope everyone had fun at the festivities this weekend. Someone has to post the highlights and pics on the website for those of us who couldn't attend.

On Saturday night some of us were talking about the Gobbler website and I said I would post the web address. Here it is: www.lileks.com/institute/motel/index.html
Go down the page about 3/4 of the way and click on "let's go gobblin!" with the pink arrow. You can then see pictures of the motel and supper club.

Got a few more pictures up. My favorite is of Randy and Chad flexing. Does anyone know where I can get a poster size of that photo made? By the way, has anyone seen or heard from Chad since Saturday? If the cops ask, I'm sending them to Randy's closet.

Special thanks to Marsha and Darci and Darcey for all the hard work they did for putting the reunion together. I looked at the photos and it looks like I missed a great time. I wish I could have been there to catch up with everyone. Everyone looks so great.
Take Care,
Kali

The reunion was great!

Hey Chad, If 3 guys are sharing a hotel room and each one pays $20 and then for some reason they each get $10 back and then for some reason the bellboy pockets $3. Did anyone determine how much the room ended up costing?

08/12/08 06:50 PM #19

Marsha Gerstner (Endl)

I think that the guy who blows the candle out should get all the money.

08/13/08 11:04 AM #20

Marsha Gerstner (Endl)

Well, Chad, as a Nuc Med tech, it seems that the room costed $25. The bellboy kept $2 and gave $3 back to the room, so there is no extra $1. It's like trying to convince a kid you have 11 fingers (1-2-3-4-5 on one hand and 10-9-8-7-6 on the other (6+5=11). The real riddle here is where is there a $25 a night motel that has a bellboy? In West Bend?

08/13/08 12:57 PM #21

Christine Johnson

That room wasn't for a whole night. They must have got a room at the illustrius West Bend Fantasuites for an hour!

Chrissi, I am a bit worried about your extensive knowledge of this motel....anything you need to tell us?

08/13/08 02:46 PM #23

Christine Johnson

Well...lets just say I went to great lengths to spice things up around my 10 year anniversary. It wasn't worth it!

Let me provide you with some highlights not listed on their website.
1) ripped sheets
2) cigarette burn holes in the bedding
3) car stereo built into the headboard of the bed

No, I'm not kidding!

08/13/08 06:56 PM #24

Marsha Gerstner (Endl)

Too funny, I had no idea that it was a real place. I checked out their website and your right, no mention of the torn sheets or burns. Although the car stereo is kinda classy, I may consider that for myself. What I really wanted to know is what was the color of the shag carpeting on the walls. Those of us who have gone Gobbin' know what I mean.

Must have cost a fortune to turn that place into a classy hotel because it was a DUMP. No shag on the walls in the room I stayed in. I was in La Cave! Apparently thats French for $300 a night shit hole!

08/18/08 03:41 PM #26

Christine Johnson

Wow! Wish I had known I was being filmed....definitely wasn't some of my best work that night!

At least now I know why we couldn't get a station in on that stereo.

If anyone would like pictures of the reunion that I took, e-mail me. I uploaded them to walmart.com and can send the link to the album to you. That way you can order any if you would like.

I am so dissapointed that I missed the reunion.. It looks like everyone had a blast.

The post card had been misplaced and my daughter found it yesterday. TOO LATE of course as the reunion is over. Looks like my loss... But at least I have the information for this site now also.

I look forward to browsing the site and seeing how everyone is doing.

To make a long story (20 years) short.. I have been married for 10 years. I have a 16 1/2 year old daughter (Jacolyn) that is a Junior at Dodgeland H.S. and I have a 2 1/2 month old son (Chase) that is a blessing to both of us and we had thought we were meant not to have any children together.

I started my own business 2 years ago called Five Star Signs and Designs and will be buying out Triana's Trophy Case in Watertown at years end.

I will update my profile more when I have a little time to spend on the computer.

Hope to hear from all of you in the future.

Ed Wolff III
