After graduation, I worked for my dad on the family farm and then took a job as a bridge builder for Zenith Tech out of Waukesha. Worked my way up the ranks there. I lefted there after 10 years as a carpenter foreman. Started my own landscape business. After my wife and I had our first child, decided to go back to work for someone else. I started working for the County Highway department in the summer of 2000. In 1989, I joined the Johnson Creek fire department. I have been a volunteer ever since. I served as a lieuntent for a year. I then served as Assistant Chief for 4 years. I them moved up to serve as Chief for 5 years. In 2007, the Village took over the fire department and hired a full time chief. I am currently holding the position of Deputy Chief. In September of 2009 I will have 20 years in the department.
I got married on August 10, 1996. We had our first child on March 25, 1998. A beautiful little girl named Allison. Our son was born November 9, 1999. Our last daughter was born February 26, 2003. We have spent our last few summers running from one baseball event to other softball events. We like to take family vacations up to my sister and brother-in-law's cabin up in Marinette county. Last year my wife and I went up there four-wheeling. This year we took the kids four-wheeling with us.
