Graduated Columbia '69 and Columbia Law School '72. Married Amy Eisen (1975). Daughters Rachel (1980) and Lydia (1983). Retired (2012) from the Jones Day law firm after 40 years of tax practice, including public service as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury (1997-98). Now in retirement: Member of the National Board of Directors of the Jewish National Fund - USA, JNF Assistant Vice President for "Go North" and President of the JNF Mid-Atlantic and Washington, DC Boards. Member of the Steering Committee of the Greater Washington Forum on Israeli Arab Issues. In 2006, served as a Reform delegate to the World Zionist Congress in Jerusalem and a member of the WZO Budget and Finance Committee. Member of Council, Theater J (Washington, DC). Rachel and Lydia (and her Aaron), and Lydia and Aaron's daughters Cleo and Sydney all live in Chicago, so we now have one foot planted there too!
