

Jerry Foote, 73, of Kearney, passed away September 11, 2024 at his home in Kearney. Memorial services will be 2:30pm, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Gail & Michael Yanney Pavilion at Yanney Park with Pastor Tim Peterson officiating. Celebration of Life to follow from 3:30-5:30pm. Memorials in Jerry's honor are kindly suggested to the family for later designations. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services of Kearney is in charge of arrangements.
Jerry A. Foote was born on November 2, 1950 in Haddam, Kansas. As an infant he was adopted by E.A. and Marian Foote and raised in Kearney, NE.
Jerry received his education at Kearney Public Schools, Kearney State and later earned his master's degree in counseling from UNK.
Jerry's working career star ted at Foote Oil; however, his passion was helping others through counseling. Jerry began his counseling career at Richard Young Hospital. He then transitioned into private practice, as well as program ditector for the I Believe In Me Ranch. Untimately he finished his career at KPS as the District Wide Behavior Interventionist. While working at KPS Jerry continued his private practice until retirement. Jerry's ability to relate to others through his sense of humor and wit was only one of his greatest gitts. However, his greatest joy was being a husband until he was a father, until he was a "papa" until he was a great-grandfather.
Throughout Jerry's cancer jouney, he never wavered in his courage and determination to fight.
Those left to cherish his life incloude: his wife Cindy; children, Ryan (Trish) Foote and their children, Emma and Ella from Scottsbluff, NE; Adam (Lori) and their children Ava and Charlie from Overland Park, KS; Kevin "KC" (Robyn) and children Kaden (Tia), Lane and Carson Foote; Will (Rhiannon) Drew, Danny, Livvy Phillips from North Platte, NE; Granchildren Brixton Foote and Boston Phillips, Sister, Mary Ann (Bill) Anderson, sisters-in-law Franny (Tom) Madsen, Becky (Charlie) Huggins; brothers-in-law, Rich (Mona) Hauver, Dudley Benson and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, E.A. and Marian Foote; in-laws, Bob and Fran Hauver, sister in law, Peggy Benson, brother in law, Bobby Hauver.
