Steve and I had a birthday one day apart and we must have met when our mothers became lifelong friends when they met at the time of our births! At least that is the story we got as I remember it. As a result he and I were friends when our families got together for picnics and dinners and games. We remained friends when we shared many hours together in orchestra, he playing his violin and me the cello. (That's a lot to have in common with a person when you are in school) We would hang out and talk a lot together. We would also acknowledge each other's birthdays every year, getting older together.I considered him a good friend until graduation sent us in different directions. I regret not making contact with him before his death. Best wishes to his family if you read this.
