I have been buried with my personal life for 55 years and when I finally got to looking for classmates, I found this site.
One of the first things that I did was look to see where some of my friends were.
When I read that Rita Hanson was gone, it took the breath out of me.
Rita was a special person in my life all through Jr High, as well as High school. We went to many dances and many walks in Lincoln park. I have always looked back at those times as good times and I miss her.
Chuck, I too was devastated when I found out Rita was gone. I don't know if you remember me but I lived near Rita over by Lincoln park on 71st and 18th. I am Judy Testard. I started looking for classmates back in 2003 for the 45th class reunion. I found about 150 and then many that had passes away. Rita was one that made me sad as I was hoping to see her at the class reunion. The 45th was the first one I went to. I was so surpriesed at all who were gone that I made a poster in memory of them and the committee then put me on as one of their members.
I enjoyed the 45th reunion and many have stayed in touch and I found more classmates in time for the 50th. Bob Kermgard made a website for us with photos of then and now and photos of the class reunion and some extra partys we had and then we all meet for breakfast the 3rd week in every month. He took many photos there too. Then I am very sad to say that he passed away before the 50th. That shocked us all.
I am going to put the Link to the website below with all our photos so you can take a look if you have not seen it. The last album is of my recent wedding to my high school. sweetheart.. We were blessed to find each other after all these years and I moved from Kenosha to Albany Ga to be with him 2 years ago. This past Valentines day we were married.
I just wanted to post to you about this.. A photo of my poster is even in one of the albums.
