Like many of us in 1978 I had no idea what I wanted to do after high school. I guess I just wanted to life and see what happened. Things have worked out very well.

I want to travel to South America. I have been to Europe many times and would like to travel to Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.

At home cooking, I really enjoy cooking and baking. Oh, and making and drinking wine.

After graduation I enlisted in the Army. I served from 1978 to 1981 and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington and Augsburg, Germany. I returned to Kenosha only to find an economy in crisis. I entered collage and for the first time in my life truly wanted to learn. Quite by accident I ended up in a Nursing Program and graduated with a BS in Nursing in 1987. I accepted a position at Aurora St Lukes Medical Center (when it was just St Lukes Hospital) in Milwaukee and have been there since. I worked the night shift for over 20 years and changed to day shift (11/2008) so I could get some sleep! I worked in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit until 2013 when I moved on to Quality Management. Overall I would have to say that life's been good to me so far.

Unfortunately, I did not apply myself in High School. I merely attended. I do have good memories of the time but it was not very productive. Does anyone remember running laps in the basement? The awful stench of the "pit"? Your hair freezing after a shower in gym and having to walk over to the anex?
