Comments:

Terry Crim Smith told me today at work about this website. I had no idea it existed.

School Story:

After Piedmont Aerospace Institute (1973)I went to work on air at WPGD Radio as an announcer and DJ. I met my wife to be while working there and shortly afterward I changed jobs. I went to work for WFMY TV in Greensboro as a Broadcast Engineer. I spent several years there. Next I went to Winston Salem for a repair tech job working for Womac Electronics on Brookstown Ave.

In February 1978 I got a call from Piedmont Airlines about a job in Avionics (Aircraft Electronic Testing and Repair). That was the job I had been waiting for! I started out working aircraft on the line for 2 years. I transferred to the Avionics Repair Shop and worked in it for 25 years until it was closed in 2005. After the Shop I moved into Plant Maintenance with a slower pace and less pressure and I Love It!
As of 20 February 2022 I have been in the Airline Industry for 44 years. Plans to retire soon? NO, going to hang around the Charlotte hangar as long as the Lord permits and enjoy my job and friends. The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful Wife and Son and Daughter in Law and a fine home with a job I enjoy. Thank you Lord!

Mrs. Ross was a favorite Teacher of mine. She had funny side and I always liked to test it. She was an Excellent Teacher and I enjoyed Biology because of her. I have often thought of her through the years and the times spent in her classroom. My Prayers of comfort for the Family and may her memorys within her students never die. W Carey Clemmons
