Class of 1976!!

What a weekend! It was so wonderful to see so many of you and celebrate 50 years since our days at La Cañada High School. The weekend was filled with laughter, stories, old friendships, and wonderful memories.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make our reunion such a special celebration. It was incredible to reconnect with old friends, catch up on the last 50 years, and discover that somehow, after all this time, we could still recognize each other—even if we needed to look at the name tags first!

From our Friday Night Welcome Reception, to the Royal Reunion” on Saturday Night, and ending with Music in the Park and our Sunday Picnic. Each event gave us the chance to reconnect, share stories, laugh, and make some new memories together.

It was amazing how quickly we could reconnect and slip back into those familiar friendships—sharing memories of painting the rock, Ice blocking, going to Reflections, Sports Chalet, Oak Grove Park, our Senior Prom , school plays,  pep rallies and sporting events and all the fun we had along the way to simply sitting together and reminiscing.  The weekend reminded us how lucky we are to share such a special history.

As we celebrate and reconnected we also took time to remember those classmates who are no longer with us. Although they could not be with us to celebrate, they will always be part of the Class of 1976, and they remain in our memories and in our hearts.

special thank you to Cheryl Hart Hernandez, whose beautiful singing added such a special touch to our celebration, and to Laurie Phillips—better known to many of us as “Elaine from Maine”for entertaining us with memories, laughter, and a wonderful trip down memory lane!

For those who were unable to join us, we missed you! We hope you can still share in some of the fun and memories through the wonderful pictures everyone took throughout the weekend.

And now, let’s keep the memories coming! If you took pictures during the weekend, please upload and share them using the link below:

We can’t wait to see the reunion through everyone’s eyes—and we hope those who couldn’t attend will enjoy seeing all the fun as well!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend possible, and especially to our Reunion Committee: Anita Mazur Perkins, Jill Samuelson Abjeon, Gail Anderson Davis, Kathy Beyrooty Inis, Kathy "Kay" Beatty Payer , Jan Burhenn Gantney, Laurie Phillips and Erin Dundee for all your planning, time and energy that went into creating such a memorable celebration.

Thank you for coming, for reconnecting, and for making our 50th Reunion one we will always remember.

Fifty years later, the friendships, memories, and spirit of the Class of 1976 are still going strong!
Here’s to the La Cañada High School Class of 1976—and to many more memories still to come!

Getting Our Kicks Since 76!

With warm memories,
2026 Reunion Committee
