Katherine J. Miltner, a longtime resident of Sonoma, passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. She was 79 and led a full and blessed life. 

She was born in San Francisco and raised in Kentfield, along with her brother James Jenkins. She attended Katherine Branson School for Girls and Redwood High. After attending classes at the College of Marin she worked in San Francisco until she married and moved to Sonoma to raise her children. 

As a fifth generation Californian, Kathy was proud of her heritage and had deep family roots in Marin County. She was passionate about the preservation of open lands for all to enjoy in both Marin and Sonoma Counties. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her time working at the local toy store. 

She was a devoted mother and loyal friend. She remained close throughout her life with her extended family, schoolmates, and friends she made while spending summers with her family in Bolinas and while raising her children in Sonoma. 

She is survived by her three children, Jennifer, Elizabeth, and Charlie who will miss her dearly. The family thanks all who knew, loved, and returned our mothers friendship over the years. The family will have a private service per Kathy's wishes.
