50 Year Reunion

DETAILS

Here are the details of our 50th reunion week-end:

CLASS OF 1961  50TH REUNION!

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30

8th GRADE PARTIES were held at various locations, giving everyone a chance to spend a little extra time with those classmates they had know the longest. This was one of the highlights of the week-end.

  • At least 30 classmates from Larkspur/Cortemadera met at the Left Bank (formerly the Blue Rock), shared drinks and appetizers, with many staying on for dinner. Several folks made it here and not to the reunion, but all had a great time.
  • Paula and Jeff Skov hosted the Kentfield/Greenbrae crowd at their home, providing terrific hor d'ouevres and great beer and wine for all. Of the 25 in attendance, 10 had started kindergarten together, with the pictures to prove it.
  • The Belvedere/Tiburon crowd of about 25 had a wonderful time at the Seafood Peddler (formerly Donimics) leaving with stories unfinished but promises of getting together again.
  • The Ross crew gathered at San Rafael Joes running out of time to get all caught up.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1

12 Noon...TOUR of the Redwood campus included: Little Theater, Science Lab with Skip Lovelady's overview of Science Program, Computer Lab, Library, Avenue of Giants display case, campus grounds, mosaics and gym complex. New principal Dave Sondheim joined in and shared current Redwood lore.

2 pm...Several of Coach Troppmann's star football players met with him and his wife Marilyn for soft drinks and snacks at his Corte Maders home, finding him in very good spirits.
