Julie Ann (Logan) Richmond Julie passed away peacefully at home in Sacramento, CA on August 8, 2014 in the care of family, friends and hospice services, at the end of her brief, courageous battle with cancer. Julie grew up in Larkspur and Corte Madera in Marin County, graduated from UC Davis and had an amazing 40 year career with the State of California Social Security Disability Determination program where her special leadership and mentoring talents positively impacted the lives of so many. Julie is survived by her special mom Mattie Logan, her sisters Valerie McBeth and Donna Leslie (Paul), nephews, great nieces, great-great niece and nephew, special cousins, legions of fantastic, loving friends and her loved boys, Boshi and Koki. Julie's family extends their heartfelt thanks to all of her wonderful friends for their loving support during her illness and to the caring team at First Care Hospice. In lieu of a formal memorial service, Julie's wish is that friends and family will celebrate her joy of living, privately or in groups, with bright smiles and happy memories.
