I first met Martha at Larkspur Corte Madera School. She was a good musician and enjoyed playing in the LCM Band and then at Redwood. Martha was an excellent student who was high energy and very caring of others.
Martha Morse was one of the most wonderful humans I ever met--compassionate, kind, bright, diligent, energetic and devoted to whatever she did and whoever she was with.
We were a devoted couple for 2 1/2 years until graduation, when I left for Princeton and she went to UC Santa Barbara. She met her husband there and they eventually became missionaries in Mexico.
I visited them in Mexico once and met their two delightful children. That was a hard life, and the environment was full of toxins.
Martha was taken way too soon by a brain tumor. I try to embody the cheerful and compassionate spirit she shared with everyone.
