After high school I couldn't bring myself to leave Las Vegas right away! I attended UNLV where I was very active in my sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta and received a BS in Biological Sciences. During the last part of undergrad I spent time as the "moto medic" for the local motocross track which was 2 of the best years of my life to date. I finally moved to SoCal in 2003 for medical school and graduated with a degree in Osteopathic Medicine in 2007 that was fully funded by the Navy. I had been living in San Diego for the past year and just completed my intern year. I just arrived in Pensacola, FL and will be here for 6 months for Naval Flight Surgeon training. It's anyone's guess where I'll go from there. :) One thing's for sure- Emergency Medicine is where I'll ultimately end up.
Not sure I'll be able to make the reunion, but I'll be there in spirit...and hopefully some photos!
My best friend, Tara and I were too paranoid to actually ditch class on Senior Day, so we decided to ditch the day after! What dorks. We attempted to drive up to Mt. Charleston to go hiking where we eventually got her 2-wheel drive truck stuck on a small icy road that was flanked by a wall of snow and a very large drop-off. Of course, the truck didn't slide towards the wall as we tried to drive forward! After some creativity and frozen hand-fulls of dirt, we managed to back out safely. Not very funny while it was happening, but we laughed all the way back to Vegas.
