
SCPO Herbert Goodland U.S. Navy, Retired SCPO Herbert T. Goodland, 76, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008. He was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Boise, Idaho, and had been a resident of Nevada for 70 years. Herbert served in the U.S. Navy as an airographer for 23 years, having served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He then worked for the Clark County School District for 20 years. He was instrumental in creating the NJROTC Program at Eldorado High School. Herbert was a member of the VFW and the Naval Weather Service Association. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine M. Goodland; daughters, Lynn A. Clark and Janice M. Johnson; and his son, Herbie Goodland.
