Jody Shealy Finnegan

Eldorado was such a long time ago but still a very important chapter in my life. When I think back about that time I have only fond memories of my classmates. Some I talked with often and others just in passing but each touched my life and I certainly found Eldorado to be a great place of discovery for me in so many ways.
I have been married for 26 years to same boyfriend I have had since my freshman year at Eldorado. We have an incredible life and I could not be more delighted with my daughters and my husband and the way everything has worked out in such a wonderous way.
Two of my daughters are in college, one at Chapman in Orange and the other a senior studying abroad in Italy, plus a high school student at Coronado High School who may be famous one day because she sings, dances and acts and has that "IT" factor.
I graduated from UNLV with an Education and Special Education Degree and have taught in the CCSD and continue to study today to keep my license current and continue to learn.
At present I am the 2009-10 President of National Charity League and on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada for the past three years.
We love to travel as a family and manage a few romantic vacations as well for just Rob and I.
I love to be artistic and I have been painting a lot lately and also just designed a home.

I was a cheerleader in High School all four years.
All three of my daughters have been junior high and high school cheerleaders too which seems ironic.
My best friend was Nell Justice and I still talk to her just once or twice a year. The person I most admired was Diane Mason because she was funny, brave and multi-talented.
I loved art and Mrs. Richey and was involved in the Art Guild Club.
Last, I ran track for a short time and my husband and family have run in at least a dozen 5 and 7k runs one which was across the Bay Bridge in San Francisco.
