Arlo J. Jensen, 79, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local hospital on Monday evening, Feb. 18, 2008. Born in Ida Grove, Iowa, on Jan. 26, 1929, he was the son of Rudolph and Ella (Johansen) Jensen.
Commander Jensen served in the US Navy for 30 years, retiring in June of 1976. He received his Engineering degree from the University of Colorado, Denver and then proceeded to obtain his Masters from Hofstra University, Long Island, NY. In Kerrville, he was a member of the Hosanna Lutheran Church where he was former treasurer.

I am saddened to hear of Commander Jensen's passing. He was more like a second father to me, and so very supportive when I needed it most, especially when I had to share some very painful information about myself and a fellow cadet with him. I miss him.
