I have been saddened over the years to see how many of my 1956 classmates belong to the exclusive club that no one wants to belong to~parents who have lost children, a group that I am a member of. To all you brave souls I offer you my wishes for your healing and hope for endless sweet memories of your children. Above all, remember, we are, at this momentous age, still standing. How did we get to be 80!? It’s a privilege denied to many. How lucky am I?
I reflect and am grateful for all I’ve had and for the good fortune to have experienced Las Vegas High. We had some kickass people in the Class of 1956. I hold hope for the world we are leaving for our children and grandchildren. I have tried to work towards leaving them the kind of world they deserve. I owe it to them. Peace and Love Las Vegas. I only attended my senior year at Las Vegas High School. From the perspective of years, I now wish it had been more. It was a great school and even though I have never attended a reunion it has been inspirational to see how close the members of my class have stayed. My admiration to all the people who worked so hard to that make that possible. You have my admiration and gratitude. In this world of cynicism you shine.
