Ronald Dishman

Ron Dishman was born in Las Vegas on July 30, 1949, the oldest of 10 children.  He attended Westside Elementary, Roy Martin, J.D. Smith, and Las Vegas High School.  While at LVHS he excelled in sports—football, basketball, and track—and was voted “Most Athletic.” He also was attendant for “Number One Senior Boy.”  He received a four-year scholarship to Oregon.  During his first year he had a knee injury and couldn’t continue.  He finished with a degree in sociology from a junior college.  He was married for 3 years before his wife, Annice, passed away.  He never married again.  He died on December 1, 1992, from AIDS, at the age of 43.
